Hello! I'm so excited that you are ready to dive into are world of Dog Obedience. My name is Jessi Wyatt, Roxanne's Lead Instructor. I'm here to guide you through this training.
A little back story on myself. I met Roxanne at my day job as a cosmetologist. It’s 2020 I had just purchased my 3rd puppy, an 8-week-old mini-Aussie (Link). At this time, I also had a 2yr old mini-Aussie doodle (LuLu) and 3yr old Scottish Terrier (Ace). Roxanne talked about how she was a dog trainer. I decide then I’d take my puppy Link through the Mannerly Puppy Course.
As that course was finishing, I informed her about my Scotty (Ace) had started resource guarding myself from my children and had given them warning bites. I do personally understand the severe consequences of having a dog that bites from personal experience. As a 3-year-old child, I was attacked by my dad's hunting dog , a Vizla). I received plastic surgery on my face and head. I count myself pretty lucky the scarring could have been way worse.
Roxanne and I decided that Ace needed her FOUNDATION Course way more than my puppy, Link. Now, let's jump forward from that moment to the present time, nearly four years later. Now, all 3 dogs and my current 11-month-old, Cane Corso, are all trained under the Koehler Method of Dog Training (KMODT). Ace understands his position in the home. Ace has earned his AKC CD title.
I share my personal story, history and experience so you realize the importance of having an obedient and well socialized dog. The relationship I have with my dogs now is one of Trust, Understanding, Love, and Confidence. These last 4 years have been so amazing and Thank God for bringing Roxanne and the KMODT training into my life !!!!
