Another day of LL practice

 Another great day of LL practice. He is doing so much better than I ever thought he would do. Even during cool down he is sticking pretty close to me. I’m so proud of this little guy. We even did a little bit of leash work, which he did better than I thought he would do in high distraction. He continues to forge, so lots of quick left turns. I learned that on a slick floor I can’t snub leash as much as I do on carpet. 🤣 I probably learned more than he did. 

Home Depot ILL practice

 First practice at Home Depot. Did pretty well with only a few correction when he didn’t want to go.

Unexpected addition to the pack

Black dog? Male dog? In the Winter time? The three things I never thought I would have in my life. But here we are with a black male dog training in the winter. However, I can’t help but wonder if maybe it was all meant to be this way.  Maybe, just maybe someone is giving me something that I need. Something that I can’t or wouldn’t be able to see for myself. And like Roxanne firmly reminded me “it’s not about the color, the gender, or the time of year” it’s about the dog. And boy what a pretty good dog he has been. Confident, loving, good with Z, and willing to do what is asked.  So although it has been a tough adjustment, I continue to look for the positives and the small blessings each day. Anyway, enough rambling. I wanted to post his test results. The only test that wasn’t done was the nose work test. But he is definitely Hoover the second😂.
